THE INTERIORS ADDICT

‘The Interiors Addict’, Australia’s largest interiors blog reached an impressive milestone of turning 10 years old in 2021. Its founder, Jen Bishop started the blog as a hobby and has built it into a successful business with over 150k unique visitors per month.

It hadn’t been through a re-brand since its humble beginnings and Jen felt the brand needed to reflect how far it had come, and ‘grow up a bit’. The brandmark was inspired by the tag line ‘heart your home’ and the interior floor plan of a house. The look and feel was inspired by Jen herself, the friendly Brit.

MARCH 2022

BEFORE: The Interiors Addict’s old brand and website.

The new branding was designed to be seen on the blog first and foremost. I worked alongside Jen’s developer to enhance her original site design, updating the grid, and implementing the new branding style. The colour palette had to include Jen’s existing iconic bright pink,so I incorporated some new muted tones alongside a strong Navy (one of Jen’s favourite colours) to give it some depth.

The branding also unified The Interiors Addict , sub-brands i.e #7Vignettes (Which is Jens’s popular long running instagram competition) and ‘The interiors Addict Chat’ which is Jen’s new WIP, an Interiors Addict podcast.

"AMANDA AND I ARE FORMER COLLEAGUES AND WHEN IT CAME TO REBRANDING INTERIORS ADDICT AFTER A DECADE, I KNEW IMMEDIATELY WHO I WAS GOING TO ASK. IT WAS SUCH A FUN PROCESS WORKING ON IT TOGETHER. AMANDA WAS SO PROFESSIONAL BUT MADE IT ENJOYABLE. SHE REALLY CARED ABOUT GETTING IT RIGHT AND ME BEING HAPPY. I AM DELIGHTED WITH THE NEW LOOK AND THE FEEDBACK HAS BEEN GREAT."
